  • What questions do you ask a wedding DJ?
    Anything! We do this professionally and are here to help. We've gathered some of our most frequently asked questions and answered them below. If you have another question, we'd be happy to answer! Email us info@wdsdj.com
  • How does my DJ effect my wedding day?
    Your DJ is a big part of your wedding day. Crowd guidance, timeline management, music selection, and hype man are just a few hats he wears!
  • How do you ensure names are pronounced correctly?
    We check name pronunciations 3 times before your wedding! During our official planning meeting The week of the wedding In person on the day-of
  • Do you accept requests?
    Up to you! We can take requests or not at all. If allowed, we take all requests with a large grain of salt as this is your wedding day, no one elses!
  • Can I extend services on the day of my wedding?
    Yes. Your DJ will check in with you 15 minutes prior to the end of his contracted time to see if you'd like to keep the party going.
  • Is gratuity included in the price?
    No. It is customary to tip great service 15%-20%
  • How does music selection work?
    We work with you to create the vibe you're envisioning for many parts of your evening, including "Must Play" and "Do Not Play" lists. Our planning process allows you to be involved in the music choices as much or as little as you'd like!
  • What does MC mean?
    MC stands for Master of Ceremonies. This is the person that will publicly determine the timeline via announcements and introductions. Here at WDS your DJ is your MC.
  • Is there a fee to move locations from ceremony to reception?
    No. We only offer Ceremony services on the same property as the reception to ensure no fee is charged.
  • What if the volume is too loud for older guests?
    Part of our process on the day-of is multiple volume checks through out the evening. We also check will all the tables closest to the DJ to ensure the volume is at a comfortable level.
  • What if you over book or a DJ quits/doesn’t show up?
    We never schedule as many events as we have DJ's. This ensures we have 2 back up DJ's at all times should the unexpected happen. Hasn't happened yet!
